講者簡介:

希臘雅典人。1978年於法國巴黎第十一大學（Université Paris Sud XI）獲物理學學士學位，1982年於法國社會科學高等研究院（École des Hautes Études en Sciences Sociales，ÉHÉSS）獲科學史博士學位。1987—1990年任希臘國家研究基金會（National Hellenic Research Foundation，NHRF）新希臘研究所科學史研究員，1990—1995年任基金會副研究員，1995—2001任高級研究員，2001—2022任基金會歷史研究所主任，後任歷史研究所名譽所長。2013年獲布萊斯·帕斯卡主席獎（Chaire Blaise Pascal），於2013—2017年任國際科學史與科學哲學聯盟科學技術史學會（The International Union of the History and Philosophy of Science and Technology, Division of History of Science and Technology，DHST/IUHPST）主席，2017—2021，2023年兩次當選國際科學史研究院（International Academy of History of Science，IAHS）秘書長。 尼古拉耶迪斯教授長期從事科學與宗教（拜占庭和奧斯曼帝國科學）、科技政策史、科學社會史和天文學史研究。出版專著及合著有：《科學、技術與十九世紀的國家》（Science, Technology and the 19th century State，2000）、《奧斯曼帝國的多元文化科學》（Multicultural science in the Ottoman Empire，2003）、《南懷仁與耶穌會科學在十七世紀中國：君士坦丁堡手稿（1676）的注釋和翻譯》（Ferdinand Verbiest and Jesuit Science in 17th century China. An annotated edition and translation of the Constantinople manuscript 1676，2009）、《從古代晚期至現代早期的希臘煉金術》（Greek Alchemy from Late Antiquity to Early Modernity，2018）、《科學和東正教：從希臘神父到全球化時代》（Science and Eastern Orthodoxy. From the Greek Fathers to the age of globalization，2018）。任《至大論：科學思想史國際雜誌》（Almagest, International journal for the history of scientific ideas）主編，《科學史評論》（Revue d’histoire des sciences）學術委員會委員，《國際科學史檔案》（Archives Internationales d’Histoire des Sciences）、《奧斯曼科學研究》（Studies in Ottoman Science）編委會成員等職。
